Week 02/2026

Vacation is over, and we are back to work. It’s been a while since I went to the office in person, and I was surprised to see a lot of people, especially today, show up to work. I guess it has to be something to do with starting the year on a positive note. I am excited to see what the new year has in store for us. The lunch line wasn’t pleasant to look at. Chennai has been very cold for the last couple of days, so it doesn’t feel like Chennai anymore.

Took a shot of this Fire & Emergency Services truck while my colleagues were having our post-lunch walk around the office. Also, these photo frames are near our office daycare. Had a really good time talking to my senior colleague. I had to leave early at around 6.30 pm to get some test results from a lab. So, I bid farewell and went home. My wife and I decided to go forward with something important and big, so let’s see how that pans out. Lots of hardships ahead, but I am ready to face them with my wife by my side. We are going to make it through this together. Some more tests and a doc visit followed that week, but overall, I was happy.

Both of us are on a diet plan, and we are trying to lose weight gradually. I am trying to eat healthy and reduce sugar intake and oily foods as much as possible. I know it’s been only a week, but it started rough, staring at junk food and ignoring it. But I’m determined to stick to it and make it a habit. We will see how it goes. I’m also sleeping early nowadays. Here’s a picture of my neighbour’s fluffy cat.

Started playing Diablo IV again, thanks to Sathya. We had a good catch-up conversation last week. I’m happy that he’s doing well. He has a blog, do make sure to follow. Weekly notes were inspired by his blog. Meanwhile, I’m still trying to understand Diablo IV and its mechanics. It’s been a while since I last played it, and it’s been a lot of fun so far. I do stream it on my Twitch channel whenever I can. Currently, I don’t have a mic, but I’m trying to see which budget microphone I can get for streaming.

Jebi has always been making delicious food, and I’m really lucky. I will take more food pics. Nowadays, I’m having breakfast at A2B - something less oily like idli and drinking my coffee at home, and then leaving for the office. Photo dump for the week:
