Week 01/2026

Happy New Year 2026 to anyone reading this. I hope you have a happy and eventful year.

Spent the Christmas at my wife’s hometown and returned home on Sunday. Traffic wasn’t as bad as it was when we started (24th). For the first time we decided to park the car in our very cumbersome parking space as soon as we got back. It went well with some minor hiccups. That meant we had enough time to rest and don’t have to wake up till night to park inside when the adjacent road has no traffic. That was a relief and all credit to Jeb for the help.

Jeb resumed work from Monday, and I was still on vacation till the 4th. Completed some long pending household work. Jeb got an approved leave on New Year’s Eve so we spent it with my parents. I captured a funny video of Jeb identifying a kurta in a comedy skit on YouTube faster than any AI agent ๐Ÿ˜† Went to church before midnight, did our usual stuff and noticed it started raining heavily in the middle of service. We had to stay an extra hour in church and the left back home at around 3.30 am. The usual cake cutting and biryani followed, and then we returned home later that day.

Made use of Sonnet 4.5 and changed my blog theme and modified heavily to my liking. I was very surprised how useful it was. This isn’t even Opus that comes with the Pro plan.

Quest continued this week to find my lost microphone that I used for steaming. I finally gave up after searching the entire house (+parents house). One good thing that happened as a result of this was I ended up cleaning the storage space while searching for it. It reminded me of the comedy in Arul movie where a woman lies to Vadivelu saying she lost her ring inside the drainage area (with the intention to clean it), only for Vadivelu to clean and search the entire drainage system.

During the weekend, we completed some hospital work and met our cousin’s family in Chennai. It’s always good to meet them. Since Jebi’s office will be shifting soon to Shollinganallur, we’ll be searching for new place around my cousins area as well in the coming months.

Spotted some birds on a Sunday! Usual grind starts tomorrow.
